Process:
I discovered a pair of mesh curtains at a thrift store and fell in love with the fun embroidery at the bottom and along the valence. After washing them, I cut the valence off and measured what I had to work with. I ended up cutting a little off the top of each curtain, using the rest for the sleeves with the layered edges still intact, and using the leftover pieces for the torso. All the pieces are just the rectangles they originally were. The sleeves were nice and wide so I added elastic to the bottom. I used the valance as the collar ruffle, and added some ribbon as a tie.
I usually wear it under another shirt or vest, but it works well on its own too!
