Pointless is the name of composer Dave Malloy's blog, which this project was based on. Using the text from blog entry Nov 8, 2003, I'm creating a little interactive visual novel, a little like the Livng Books series I played as a kid. The project is only about half finished now, but I encourage you to play what I have so far! Flashing graphics warning, please be careful if you are sensitive.
Since it's fairly small, I have it hosted here on my site. It doesn't have any sound yet, so don't worry about autoplay or if you don't hear anything. Be prepared to use your mouse as well as arrow keys to complete the different sections! Click the button below to open the game in a new tab:
The pixel art and animation was created by me, though some of the backgrounds are edited stock images. It was coded using Scratch. Words credited to Dave Malloy.
